Dr. Lisa Peter Howard is a 1980 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Debbie Sparks

My name is Debbie Sparks and I am very proud to be part of Dr. Howard’s office. Dr. Howard and I have worked together for over six years now, and I have over 18 years experience in the orthodontic field. I really love it! My personal goal is to treat all of our patients with the care and attention that I would expect if I were a patient. Plus, I have had braces myself so I can really relate to what our patients are experiencing. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is working with patients in the clinical area. I enjoy watching their treatment progress at each visit, and it is fun to share in their excitement the day braces are removed. I can still remember how excited I was the day my braces came off.

I graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine in June of 1988 and in August I started my orthodontic career. I trained on the job and took courses to acquire my Orthodontic Assisting Certificate through the Dental Assisting National Board and I am licensed by the State of Maine Board of Dental Examiners to take Dental Radiography (x-rays).

I have had extensive training on our state-of-the-art orthodontic software program and find its many capabilities amazing. I am also looking forward to furthering my education with additional dental and computer training.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Glenn, and our two children Danielle and Alex. I am also a huge animal lover and spend a large part of my time with our two horses, Cassidy and Splash and our two Golden Retrievers, Baily and Sophie.

Colleen O’Brien Wood

After more than eight years with Dr. Howard I still look very much forward to work each day! Each day brings with it another new opportunity to assist others in offering patients the very best in orthodontic care.

Having graduated in from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in 1981 I practiced Dental Hygiene in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine for over 20 years (wow, am I old enough to say that?). I now have enjoyed the opportunity to apply my experience to the orthodontic field as Dr. Howard’s front office manager. Interacting with patients and their families is truly rewarding. I make it a personal goal to do all that I can to ensure the

patient’s family is well informed and comfortable in all aspects of their respective treatment plans. I enjoy helping families by answering all their questions, from insurance queries to scheduling future appointments that are convenient to all.

My husband Michael and I moved to Scarborough 18 years ago. In that time, I have proudly watched our three daughters develop into fine young citizens. Our oldest, Danielle, graduated from The University of New England in May 2010. Michaela is enjoying studying nursing at Salve Regina University, while Mackenzie loves her time spent as a ninth grader at Scarborough High School.

I am so fortunate in so many ways, including being in a position of helping those who come to visit Dr. Howard for their orthodontic care. I hope to meet you soon and I look forward to helping make your experience at our office the very best it can be!

Tammy Barrows Galeucia

My name is Tammy Barrows Galeucia. My role here at Dr. Lisa Howard’s office is that of scheduling coordinator. Dr. Lisa P. Howard and her team members are amazing at what they do and a joy to work with. The office is advanced, clean, fun, and inspiring. I love it here and I am certain you will too!

I have been in and out of the dental field since after I attended Dental Careers Institute 1996. Having children and adapting to their needs has taken me on a journey over the years. I am glad to have this opportunity to be in the orthodontic field. I enjoy seeing patients happy with their new smiles! I look forward to meeting you and assisting you with your orthodontic appointments.

When not at work I love spending time with my family.  Sources of great joy for me are watching my sons, Isaiah and Zacari, participate in athletic events,  listening to my husbandPete sing with his band and cuddle time with our new dog Chance.
